The hospital has been founded and build by Associazione Ruvuma in 1992 and recognized as hospital in 2009. the hospital has been under Dar es Salaam archdiocese till to become last year under the ownership of the Tanzanian Branch of Associazione Ruvuma and ran by DMI sister & collaborators.

The mission of the hospital since the foundation has been to guarantee to any Tanzanian, of any social class, any status and religion, an health quality service affordable to any one. DMI mission and activity .

The hospital is Located in Mbweni Village 6 km from Bagamoyo main road on the ocean side, in a 7 acres compound which get a pleasant breeze from the ocean Large parking space and nice environment, In the hospital compound is available a canteen which provide food for the patient at reasonable price and for visitors, a playground for kids and a Nursery School ran by DMI sisters Visiting time is 6,30 am to 7am; 1 pm to 2 pm

The hospital is open 24 hours; OPD time is 8 am to 6 mm; after working hours a general practitioner is always present in the hospital premises, ready to take care of any emergency; The not urgent cases, during not working hours, are attended by the doctor with a small overcharge. One theatre team is always available for any emergency operation. For major and complicated operation a general surgeon is available.
